SDG 16.2.4: Existence of participatory bodies to recognize and engage local stakeholders

HCSED:High Council for Sustainable Educational Development 

Contribute to promoting sustainable academic, professional, and social development by providing leaders to change and have been prepared through advanced scientific programs and modern educational systems and training members of both the academic and administrative bodies and students. 

Activate a system that supports, encourages, and motivates the administrative and academic staffs to enhance and develop their skills. 

Propose an evaluation system for the performance of the administrative and academic bodies in accordance with international standards. 

Enhance the quality of education through the process of continuous curriculum development and constant encouragement to use modern technology and techniques. 

Organize qualification programs, exhibitions, conferences, scientific and professional seminars, cultural activities, and training courses for students at, or outside, the university, in order to engage them in labor market and make them active and useful agents in society. 

Create channels of communication and cooperation with governmental and non-governmental departments and institutions, associations, unions, organizations and bodies of all kinds, and the various sectors of society concerned with the tasks of the Council and its centers. 

Care for, direct, and help students during their studies to overcome administrative and academic obstacles and build proper pathways to academic success. 

The Council carries out its activities and goals through four centers established at the university: the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, the Capacity Building Center, the Career Center, and the Academic Tutoring Center. These centers aim to improve the university ranking and academic performance, and to achieve scientific excellence and professional development. 

This council has representations from the outside the university 

 

Political Clubs 

IUL gives its students the chance to build and join different clubs that are directed by specific political parties. These clubs organize different cultural, national, religious and political events that share a spectrum of ideas and perspectives. Such events include seminars, guest speakers, celebrations and exhibitions, etc.
