Faculty of Political, Administrative & Diplomatic Sciences

Dean's Message

Vision

The Faculty of Political, Administrative and Diplomatic Sciences seeks to become an academic edifice at the national and regional levels in the field of scientific research. It also aims to produce distinguished students capable of assuming leadership positions in administrative state jobs, the private sector and the diplomatic corps. These leadership roles, however, require providing the student with expertise as well as legal, historical, and administrative information, thus, contributing to personality and excellence development.

Mission

Relationships and dealings between countries forced a new type of engagement, in terms of approach and style, that conforms with rules, laws, and charters, based on each country’s peculiarities, laws, and connections. Thus, establishing the faculty was a requirement to teach covenants, treaties, and relationship challenges, in conformity with the country system of government (republican, monarchy or parliamentary system), and with contemporary curriculum, program and teaching methods.

Assisted by professors and academic staff having local and foreign expertise, the Islamic University of Lebanon has developed a comprehensive approach to administrative and diplomatic affairs – a major characteristic for developing new disciplines at the faculty and granting certificates at three levels: Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate.

Job Market

The specialization in political, administrative and diplomatic sciences opens the door wide for graduates to work in various fields:

  • foreign service: diplomatic affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, embassies and international organizations (in their headquarters or offices around the world).
  • multinationals.
  • Jobs in public and private sectors.
  • Education in schools and universities depending on the level of certification.
