International Relations

Vision

The Islamic University of Lebanon aims to build an international professional network by strengthening its relationship with international educational and research institutions in order to achieve its worldwide vision.

Mission

Improve the conditions of hosting Arab and international students with the goal to encourage and facilitate visiting and exchange students

Find academic and training opportunities for IUL students, employees, instructors, and professors abroad, so they can take university postgraduate courses or courses in special disciplines not available locally

Establish agreements that help enrich the university training and research programs

The Islamic University of Lebanon is a member of the Francophone University Agency (AUF), a member and a former president of the Conference of Rectors in the Middle East Region (CONFREMO), a member and the Chairperson of the fifty-first meeting of the Executive Council of the Association of Arab Universities (AARU), and a member of the International Association of Universities (IAU). The university is also a partner of European Projects Erasmus+, and has also signed many bilateral agreements with Arab and European universities.

International Relations

Overview

The International Relations Office leads IUL’s international policy, and is responsible for its implementation. For this purpose, IUL is member of:

Agence Universitaire de la Francophone (AUF)

IUL is a member of AUF since its inception

Conférence des Recteurs de la Région du Moyen-Orient (CONFREMO)

IUL’s President chaired the CONFREMO from 2017 to 2019

Association of Arab Universities (AARU)

IUL’s President chaired the Executive Board of AARU in 2018

IUL is a partner of European Projects "Erasmus+"
