The scholarships offered by the university to the poorest students include free transportation from their place of residence to the university and vice versa, in addition to the housing fare in case the student has to rent a residence near the university. In addition to holding many activities at religious events organized by the Movement of the Deprived, to bring together all students from all sects and social levels, in order to contribute to creating a positive atmosphere that contributes to creating social ties between students.

Also, the President of the Islamic University of Lebanon, Prof. Dina Al-Mawla, His Excellency Professor Eng. Suhail Najm Abdullah, the regional cultural advisor in the Iraqi Cultural Department in Beirut, at the university’s headquarters in Khalde, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council, Assistant Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Nazih Jamoul, and the Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Gadi Moqalled, and they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations.

Also, Under the supervision of the Lebanese National Committee for UNESCO, the UNESCO Club was launched through its first project at the Islamic University of Lebanon – Tire Branch, under the title “Sawa”, which corresponds to the first goal of the sustainable development goals “the eradication of poverty”.

The campaign was launched by the students of the club members, and therefore, the university students and the administrative and educational bodies were invited to participate in this volunteer work in order to secure these needs.

Each volunteer will provide the things, books, food and clothes that he does not want to be sorted and distributed to poor families, as their work will depend on collecting information about these families from the municipalities and activities of the region. Then, donation boxes were set up at the university in order to buy food and distribute it to the needy before the holy month of Ramadan. The club will also hold a free summer course for low-income children during the month of July, which we will announce later.

On the occasion of the 25th of May, the Amal Movement, the Islamic University Division, held its second annual Ramadan Iftar, in the presence of the President of the Amal Movement, Dean, Brother Abbas Nasrallah, and the Secretary-General of the Islamic University, Dr. Brother Hussein Badran, head of the Youth and Sports Office in Mount Lebanon, Brother Rowad Hammoud, and the head of the Youth and Sports Office in the South, Brother Ali Hassan, the educational and administrative staff and a large crowd of students from the Islamic University of Lebanon.

The Amal Movement – Division of the Islamic University – Wardanieh Complex, on the occasion of forty Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), organized a feast attended by the President of the Wardaniyah Complex, Dr. Abdel Moneim Qubeissi, members of the administrative and educational staff, and a large number of students.

Under the slogan “With your own blood, life beats”. The Amal Movement – Division of the Islamic University – Wardanieh Complex, in cooperation with the Lebanese Red Cross, set up a blood donation campaign, which witnessed a great participation of students with enthusiasm and love in an atmosphere filled with intimacy, cooperation and the spirit of humanity.

For the second year in a row, the Division of the Islamic University – Wardanieh Complex prepared a book for each academic year that includes the previous courses of all subjects for the first and second semesters of the five years in the College of Engineering and distributed them to students.

The Islamic University in Lebanon is also working to provide legal advice to all students and their families without any financial compensation, through the moot court that was established in the Faculty of Law, and this moot court in Al-Abdad has also participated in legal competitions.

The Islamic University of Lebanon also offers, through the College of Health Sciences, a free open day in which it welcomes all students and the people of the region to conduct medical examinations, especially diabetes and blood pressure checks, in addition to nutritional health advice by specialized doctors. The day also includes a series of seminars on contemporary diseases and how to strengthen the immune system to face them.

Nursing Day by celebrating its stay in the university hall, and was attended by the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at the University, Dr. Taghreed Shaban, Head of the Health Department in the South, Dr. Hassan Alawiya, the President of the University in Tire, Dr. Anwar Tarhini, Actors for the educational and health bodies in the region and a crowd of students and guests.

In the outer courtyard of the university, made various examinations that the nursing students at the university conducted under the supervision of their professors, and included: eye examination, diabetes test, blood pressure and heartbeat, and an explanation of what healthy food is.

Members of the Lebanese Red Cross Center in Tire participated in the activity, who conducted tests to determine the blood group, and provided an explanation about the concept and nature of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, while the civil defense personnel in Tire explained how to extinguish fires and treat burns.

The Islamic University of Lebanon – Baalbek branch, conducted a study on the means of transportation approved by the students with the aim of helping them to secure common transportation between them. All students, without exception and whatever the approved mode of transportation, should have reviewed the Student Affairs Office to fill out the form.

The Islamic University in Lebanon has concluded several agreements to improve the level of students and enable them to enter the labor market, and these agreements include:

In 2020, an agreement was signed with the British Language Institute regarding students of the English language, and with the French Center for Languages with regard to students of the French language. This is in order to qualify the student and acquire a foreign language so that he can enter the labor market. These institutes accompany students under the supervision of specialists before them and under the supervision of the Director of the Language Institute at the Islamic University in Lebanon.

The “Language Rehabilitation Center” was established at the Islamic University in Lebanon, and among its objectives is to raise the level of all university students, in addition to students who want to learn a foreign language, so that it provides courses according to the requirements of the various colleges in the university, and it is directly linked to the university presidency. The center provides the following courses: French – English – Spanish and German.

The center also follows the approved levels according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CECRL) and proposes five levels for students (A1 – A2.1 – A2.2 – B1.1 – B1.2) after taking a language placement test for new students in other colleges, 50 teaching hours are allocated to each level.
