Dean's Message

We are delighted to welcome you to the Faculty of Tourism Sciences at the Islamic University of Lebanon.

Our faculty was established in 1996 to respond to the market demand and the growing need for professionals in the field of Tourism and Hospitality in Lebanon.

From the beginning, our objective was to convey and transmit all necessary knowledge and competences by complying with the highest standards.

What distinguishes us is our work in a unique friendly atmosphere. Our team is composed of researchers and professionals whose experience expands the boundaries of knowledge and imagination. Always striving towards excellence, we ensure a continuous upgrading of both curriculum and facilities in order to allow the faculty to continue its success in the future.

Our teaching method aims at preparing students to be engaged directly in the real-world. In this purpose, we offer an innovative academic program that combines theories and practical experience enriched by two compulsory internships. Because we believe that our students of today will be our colleagues in the future.

Our goals are not limited to the academic education but to contribute also to the sustainable development of human society in Lebanon through the research, study and educational activities. Join us to work together to open new paths and new hopes for the future.

Overview

The Faculty of Tourism Sciences offers dynamic and flexible studies to meet the needs of the various sectors of Tourism and Hospitality. By Providing theoretical knowledge and technical competences, it works to offer an excellent education to its graduates and to prepare them to enter the professional practice with essential skills, general knowledge and foreign languages.

The faculty aims are to prepare students academically in accordance with innovative universal standards, so that they will be able to work in different public and private tourism institutions and to foster fundamental learning and research skills coupled with an understanding of all areas related to Tourism and Hospitality field.

Vision

The Faculty of Tourism Sciences (FTS)  aims to graduate leaders who contribute to the development of both tourism and hospitality sectors in Lebanon and attain remarkable educational and professional successes as well.

Mission

The faculty provides its graduates with the skills and qualifications that enable them to operate effectively in the fields of tourist guidance; hotel management; air travel, transportation, and flight Services; legacy, arts and specialized resorts, and tourism platforms all around the world.
