We’d like you to meet our role model Prof. Dina Al Maoula, the president of the Islamic University of Lebanon, and the Dean of Faculty of Law at IUL.
Prof. Al Maoula completed her PhD in law in France and went back to Lebanon to join the Lebanese University as a professor and then as the head of the French Branch of the Faculty of Law at the Lebanese University along with the position of Director of the Centre de Recherche et de Développement Pédagogiques.
During her career, she presented and published many research papers internationally in peer-reviewed journals, she has been lecturing in top universities like Montpellier, Rennes, Paris, and much more.
Prof. Al Maoula presided many discussion committees for letters and dissertations in France.
She has been invited to give a lecture in the French Parliament on women’s rights in Islam.
She was also delegated by the Lebanese University to participate in several parliamentary committees on mediation and patient rights, and she participated in several bodies, including the University Commission for Biology at the Lebanese University.
Prof. Al Mouala took the presidency of the Islamic University of Lebanon in 2016. In her ongoing mandate, she is marking a remarkable progress for the institution on all aspects. She was appointed as president of the Association of Francophone Arab Universities in the Middle East to the 10th CONFREMO General Assembly. She also took over the presidency of the 51st session of the executive office of the Association of Arab Universities.
In 2019, the French government awarded Prof Al Maoula the Academic Palme.
