The Human Rights Center at the Islamic University of Lebanon represented by his director Dr. Jinan Al Toufaily, in collaboration with the University Agency for Francophonie and the Professional Mediation Center at Saint Joseph University, proudly facilitated a mediation workshop titled “Mediation: A Tool for Conflict Prevention and Management,” which lasted 18 hours from October 7 to 10, 2025, at the Human Rights Center at the Islamic University in Khaldeh. It involved 35 students from several branches of the Islamic University in Khaldeh, Baalbek, Tyre, and Borj albarajne, and was led by Lawyer Zeina Housaini Majzoub, a notable member of Saint Joseph University’s Professional Mediation Center.

Special appreciation to the President of the University, Professor Hassan Lakkis, for his ongoing support of the Human Rights Center and programs that contribute to skill development for students in the Faculty of Law at the Islamic University of Lebanon. We also like to thank the Dean, Professor Hadiya Al-Shami, for her efforts in making this workshop a success, as well as the working team at the Faculty of Law.
